Why She Feels Fat defines and explores eating disorders “from the inside out” to convey the emotional experiences and perspectives of those who have them... Read More
Just thought I'd take this opportunity to point out, since both Ann and Laura are partaking in it at the moment, that procrastination isn't some random occurrence or character trait/flaw.
Wanted to add a couple more things people said to me that relate to our mid-week Bumper Sticker. You remember the equation: life requires movement, movement equals danger, so life equals danger.
This Bumper Sticker comes in the form of an equation, one I came up with while trying to explain to someone a particular fear of life and how she developed this fear: Life Requires Movement, Movement Equals Danger, therefore Life Equals Danger.
The point of this isn't that this equation is universally accurate. (The first part of it is accurate, the second part is not, and the conclusion is not). The point is that the equation illustrates how many people feel about life, as well as how they arrived at that conclusion and feeling.
This entry comes from Laura, who shows us that without being perfectionistic, she has created for herself, a bunch of perfect "Decent Days." How cool is that? A great illustration of the fact that it's not about being perfect in that rigid, impossible way, but about staying true to a reasonable, workable, and meaningful way of being. Perfect :)
And Yay for Ann, who has, also without trying to be perfect, lived her life consciously and according to her practice of recovery, and is reaping enormous rewards as a result.
