I'm into the home stretch editing a book of letters about recovery from eating disorders, to be published by Trumpeter Books next spring. It will benefit the work of the Academy for Eating Disorders, and we're very pleased with the way it's shaping up (a MUCH more fitting use of the term "shaping up" than its usual application to bodies!).
However, the book could use more perspective on what it takes to recover from BED. If you've had this eating disorder, I'd love to hear from you. Particularly, I'm looking for personal experiences that reveal the following:
- How and when did you decide to get help?
- Who offered the most useful support?
- What strategies have helped the most?
- How is recovery changing your professional and personal life and outlook?
If you'd like to contribute, please write me at email@example.com . Since this is a benefit project, there won't be payment in money, but you'll have the reward of helping others.
